The last two weeks went so incredibly quickly.
I have barely been off my feet I swear. So therefore i'm looking forward to a nice summer with no running, cycling or long-distance walks. Yeh right.
My holiday was very very good and me and Nicola both had a great time.
My 35mm SLR broke on the first day (just a slight problem with the command dial) but it was about 50 miles to the nearest repair shop so i shared Nicola's camera.
Between us we shot over 3 rolls of 35mm film. Which equates to around 118 pictures.
I also used my Bronica a fair amount and went through just over 1 roll of Provia with that. I am greatly looking forward to seeing those big 645 transparencies on a light-table.
The weather was too warm for walking and we only had the oppertunity to climb two big peaks.
We did Wetherlam from High Tilberthwaite. Quite a hard climb up a very steep ridge. Totalling about 5 Miles and about 2200 feet of ascent.
Then we did Bow Fell very late on a sweltering 32*C day. Despite clearly suffering from heat exhaustion we struggled to the summit in 3 hours 45 minutes. That was was about 6.5 Miles and over 2700 feet of ascent.
We also climbed Holme Fell twice which, despite being fairly easy, is still a Wainwright at 1040 feet.
The walk is less than 3 miles and ascent is about 700 feet in total.
Most other days we did short walks or relaxed by the lakes / in an amazingly beautiful stream down the road.
Me and Nicola also went swimming in Coniston Water but it was weird because the ground was slimy and there were many beer cans. The water was fairly warm and i thought it was fun even if Nicola didn't.
The two weeks really went by so quickly but it was the best holiday ever
I can't wait until me and Nicola can go back, because the weather stopped us from doing Scafell Pike, Great Gable or Glaramara. She is as fit as me now so none of those will be any problem
I'll be getting all the photos (all 159 of them) developed on Monday and you can expect submissions from me and ~
herfarewell soon!

Don't! Don't let it go to your head

You're a touch overrated,
You're a lush and I hate it
But these grass stains on my knees
They won't mean a thing!
Can't wait to see more!
Have Fun.
